Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Identity & Access Management (IAM) Architect to join our enterprise security team in Westlake, TX. In the digital landscape of 2026, identity has become the primary security perimeter. This role is designed for a visionary architect who possesses deep technical expertise in the Microsoft Entra ID ecosystem and can lead the design, architecture, and implementation of robust, scalable identity solutions for a complex hybrid environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our identity infrastructure is not only secure and compliant but also agile enough to support emerging technologies such as AI and autonomous agents.
Key Responsibilities
- Identity & Access Architecture: Lead the strategic design and implementation of IAM solutions leveraging the full suite of Microsoft Entra ID capabilities. This includes architecting complex integrations with various cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), hybrid on-premises environments, and a vast array of SaaS applications.
- Solution Design & Delivery: Take full ownership of end-to-end solution architecture, from initial conceptualization to detailed documentation and final implementation. You will provide hands-on engineering support to ensure that the technical execution aligns perfectly with the architectural vision.
- Security, Compliance & Governance: Implement and manage advanced identity security controls, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Single Sign-On (SSO), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and Conditional Access policies. You will play a pivotal role in supporting regulatory, compliance, and audit initiatives, ensuring that all identity practices meet industry standards.
- Emerging Technology Integration: Stay at the forefront of technological shifts by securing AI applications, Large Language Models (LLMs), and agent-based systems. You will contribute to the development and enhancement of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) offerings to address the unique challenges posed by AI.
- Stakeholder Leadership: Act as a subject matter expert, translating complex identity and security concepts into clear, actionable recommendations for executive leadership and cross-functional technical teams.
Required Technical Qualifications
- A minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience specifically within the Identity & Access Management domain.
- Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) and the broader Microsoft security ecosystem, including Microsoft Defender for Identity and Microsoft Purview.
- Proven track record of designing and deploying enterprise-grade IAM solutions in large-scale environments.
- Strong understanding of modern authentication protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SAML 2.0.
- Experience with identity lifecycle management, privileged access management (PAM), and identity governance and administration (IGA).
Preferred Skills and Soft Skills
- Experience in securing AI-driven workflows and understanding the security implications of autonomous agents.
- Prior experience contributing to the development of GRC frameworks and security policies.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to lead through influence and drive consensus across diverse teams.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100).
Special Requirements
US Citizen or Green Card holders only. Local candidates within 50 miles of Westlake, TX required. Hybrid work model (3 days onsite per week). Video interview process.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $175,000 – $225,000 per year (Estimated)
