Role Overview
ITBrainiac Inc. is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dynamics 365 Finance Consultant for a high-impact, onsite contract position located in Durham, North Carolina. This role is designed for a senior-level professional with a minimum of 10 years of dedicated experience in the Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem, specifically focusing on D365 Finance modules. As a critical member of the implementation team, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between complex business requirements and technical execution, ensuring that our clients receive a robust, scalable, and efficient ERP solution. This is a 6-month contract with a strong possibility of extension based on project milestones and performance.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead and manage end-to-end D365 Finance and Operations (F&O) implementation projects, encompassing the entire lifecycle from initial design and configuration to testing, training, cutover, and post-go-live reporting.
- Conduct intensive discovery sessions to gather and document business requirements from key stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Perform comprehensive functional analysis and Gap-Fit analysis to identify where standard D365 functionality meets client needs and where custom developments or ISV solutions are required.
- Configure and optimize D365 modules including, but not limited to, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Sales, Procurement, and Inventory.
- Utilize Microsoft Lifecycle Services (LCS) for environment management, project tracking, and solution deployment.
- Prepare detailed Business Process documents, functional design documents (FDD), and user training manuals to ensure seamless knowledge transfer.
- Coordinate closely with the onsite engagement team and technical developers to ensure that custom requirements are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
- Demonstrate expertise in system and functional testing, including the creation of test scripts and management of User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Provide mentorship and professional development guidance to junior colleagues and team members.
Technical Qualifications and Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field is mandatory.
- Current Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 certifications are highly preferred and considered a significant advantage.
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in D365 Finance modules, with at least 5 successful full-lifecycle implementations completed.
- Deep working knowledge of ERP implementation methodologies (such as Sure Step or Agile) and strong project management skills.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to perform under minimal supervision in rapidly changing environments.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong time management skills and the flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and urgent client needs.
Work Environment and Logistics
This position is strictly onsite in Durham, NC. Candidates must be local to the area or willing to relocate for the duration of the contract. The role requires a professional who can integrate seamlessly into the client’s corporate culture and provide immediate value through hands-on configuration and strategic consulting. Compensation & Location
Salary: $175,000 – $225,000 per year (Estimated)
