Position Summary: SME SAP Security Consultant
Paramount Software Solutions is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) level SAP Security Consultant for a long-term engagement in Omaha, NE. With over 15 years of experience required, this role is designed for a seasoned professional who can navigate the complexities of SAP architecture, GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance), and enterprise-wide security protocols. You will be responsible for safeguarding the SAP landscape for our client, LTTS, ensuring that all access controls and data protection measures meet the highest industry standards.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of SAP Security frameworks, ensuring robust protection across all SAP modules and integration points.
- Manage and control user access by leveraging a deep understanding of SAP identity management and advanced auditing tools.
- Conduct comprehensive SAP vulnerability assessments and manage threat mitigation strategies, including SIEM integration, masking, and encryption.
- Perform detailed Segregation of Duties (SoD) analysis and sensitive transaction reviews to maintain compliance and prevent internal fraud.
- Oversee SAP development security, including ABAP code reviews, Solution Manager configurations, and Transport System integrity.
- Architect security for modern SAP interfaces, including RFC connections, Fiori, and WorkZone, focusing on top-down business role design.
- Collaborate closely with SAP Basis and development teams to ensure timely patch management and secure code deployment.
- Monitor and execute SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) controls as they relate to SAP Security and GRC modules.
- Document security policies, processes, and incidents, ensuring a clear audit trail for all security-related activities.
- Mentor junior developers and security analysts, driving a culture of high-quality, zero-defect deliverables.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 15+ years of dedicated experience in SAP Security and GRC.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing security solutions in complex SAP environments.
- Expertise in SAP architecture, role management, access control, and authorization objects.
- Strong knowledge of information security principles, data protection laws, and global compliance frameworks.
- Proficiency in SAP NetWeaver, SAP-GUI, and various SAP portals.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and high-pressure project delivery.
- Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to solve complex security challenges independently.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is mandatory.
- Highly Desired: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or official SAP Security/GRC certifications.

This is a long-term contract position (12+ months) located in Omaha, NE. The role demands a professional with a “first time right” mentality and a commitment to delivering production-ready solutions with zero defects. As an SME, you will play a pivotal role in the strategic security planning for one of the region’s most significant SAP implementations.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
