Job Description
Clevanoo LLC is seeking a dedicated Systems Server Engineer for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Tallahassee, FL. This role is strictly onsite and requires a professional capable of designing, implementing, and maintaining complex server architectures. The successful candidate will act as a Server Architect, creating blueprints for on-premises data centers, virtualization platforms, and cloud compute environments.
Core Responsibilities
- Design server infrastructure blueprints for on-prem data centers and virtualization platforms including VMware, Hyper-V, and Proxmox.
- Architect cloud compute solutions across Azure, AWS, and GCP, as well as hybrid environments.
- Develop and manage storage systems including SAN, NAS, and distributed storage solutions.
- Establish technical standards for OS versions (Windows Server/Linux), security baselines, and backup/recovery plans.
- Define monitoring, logging, configuration, and patching standards to be followed by the engineering team.
- Ensure system scalability, reliability, and performance, planning for long-term growth and redundancy.
- Guide implementations by working closely with cloud engineers, security teams, and DevOps professionals.
- Oversee security and compliance, including Identity and Access Management (AD, Azure AD) and server hardening.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance standards such as HIPAA, PCI, and SOX.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Deep knowledge of Operating Systems: Windows Server and various Linux distributions.
- Extensive experience with Virtualization technologies: VMware, Hyper-V, and KVM.
- Proficiency in Cloud platforms: Azure and AWS.
- Expertise in Storage and Backup solutions: SAN/NAS, Veeam, and Commvault.
- Strong understanding of Identity systems: Active Directory and Azure AD.
- Experience with Automation tools: PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Proven ability in high-level planning and technical documentation.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $118,000 – $162,000 per year (Estimated)
