Role Overview
Novia Infotech LLC is looking for a talented and experienced PHP / WordPress Developer to join our client’s team in Hamilton Township, NJ. This onsite position requires a developer who can bridge the gap between design and technology, creating enterprise-grade WordPress platforms that are scalable, secure, and high-performing. You will be responsible for the entire development lifecycle, from initial concept and theme design to deployment and ongoing production support.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently design and build custom WordPress themes for enterprise-level brand websites.
- Develop and maintain business websites, ensuring they meet project requirements and technical standards.
- Handle end-to-end theme development, including UI enhancements, new feature implementation, and performance optimization.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, including content updates, security patches, and platform upgrades.
- Collaborate closely with business and design stakeholders to deliver solutions that align with brand identity.
- Lead the development of custom functionalities for specialized platforms like the Horizontal Connectivity Hub.
- Refactor and stabilize existing codebases, including themes and plugins originally delivered by external vendors.
- Identify and resolve functional and performance-related issues to improve overall site reliability.
- Ensure seamless integration with dependent systems and third-party APIs.
Technical Requirements
- 6 to 8 years of professional experience in PHP and WordPress development.
- Strong hands-on expertise in custom WordPress theme and plugin development from scratch.
- Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and the development of PHP-based web applications.
- Advanced knowledge of front-end technologies including JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery.
- Experience working within cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure and AWS, as well as local environments like XAMPP.
- Solid understanding of website performance optimization techniques and security best practices.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and modern development workflows.

- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $110,000 – $145,000 per year (Estimated)
