Position Overview: SAP Commissions (Callidus) Workflow Developer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Commissions (Callidus) Workflow Developer for a long-term, remote contract opportunity. In this specialized role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex workflows within the SAP Commissions (formerly CallidusCloud) environment. As a key member of our global IT team, you will leverage your expertise in SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management and SAP Commercial Project Management (CPM) to deliver integrated solutions that optimize sales performance management and incentive compensation processes. This position offers the flexibility of remote work while requiring a high degree of collaboration with stakeholders across different time zones. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a deep understanding of Agile methodologies and a proven track record of delivering high-quality SAP solutions in complex enterprise landscapes.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end workflow solutions within the SAP Commissions platform to automate incentive compensation plans and sales performance processes.
- Develop and configure workflow rules, triggers, and actions to ensure accurate and timely processing of commission data and performance metrics.
- Integrate SAP Commissions with SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management (Sales) and SAP Commercial Project Management (CPM) to ensure seamless data flow and system synchronization.
- Collaborate with business analysts and sales operations teams to gather requirements and translate complex business logic into technical workflow specifications.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) within an Agile framework, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Perform rigorous testing and debugging of workflow components to ensure platform stability and compliance with business requirements.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including workflow diagrams, configuration guides, and unit test plans.
- Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for production issues related to SAP Commissions workflows and integrations.
- Stay abreast of the latest SAP Commissions updates and features, providing recommendations for platform enhancements and process improvements.
Required Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience in SAP Commissions (CallidusCloud) development, with a specific focus on workflow design and implementation.
- Strong technical knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management – Sales and its integration points with incentive compensation systems.
- Proven experience with SAP Commercial Project Management (CPM) and its application in managing complex project-based sales cycles.
- Proficiency in Agile development practices, including the use of tools like Jira or Azure DevOps for task management and collaboration.
- Solid understanding of SQL and data modeling concepts, with the ability to write complex queries for data analysis and troubleshooting.
- Experience with SAP Cloud Platform (BTP) and integration technologies (e.g., SAP CPI) is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team environment.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
