Role Overview: Data Steward Senior Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Steward Senior Analyst to join our team in Phoenix, AZ, in a hybrid capacity. This critical role is focused on ensuring the integrity, compliance, and strategic management of enterprise data, with a primary emphasis on Record Retention and Deletion policies and processes. As a Senior Analyst, you will be instrumental in identifying data-related risks and implementing robust controls across key business processes to safeguard our information assets.

Key Responsibilities and Strategic Impact

  • Risk Management & Control Identification: Assist in the identification of data-related risks including Record Retention, Data Quality, Data Movement, Data Stewardship, Data Protection, and Data Sharing. You will develop and maintain associated controls to mitigate these risks effectively.
  • Policy Expertise & Education: Serve as the subject matter expert for the business unit regarding enterprise data policies. You will develop comprehensive training materials and lead educational initiatives to ensure the organization understands and adheres to Record Retention and Deletion procedures.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with product managers to ensure all new use cases and business initiatives are managed in strict accordance with established data policies. You will influence and contribute to the continuous improvement of data assessment processes and analytical tools.
  • Regulatory & Technical Support: Support regulatory reporting needs by working closely with upstream data providers, downstream business partners, and technology teams. You will provide subject matter expertise across multiple platforms to ensure data compliance.
  • Roadmap Development: Collaborate with the Data Steward Manager to develop and manage the data compliance roadmap, ensuring long-term alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Technical Requirements

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in data stewardship or a similar role focused on Record Retention and Deletion compliance.
  • Strong understanding of Data Management and Data Governance concepts, including metadata, lineage, and data quality.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Data Quality Management and familiarity with data architecture or modeling concepts.
  • Proven experience working within Agile or SAFe project methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Experience within the Travel Industry and knowledge of RCSA (Risk Control Self-Assessment) methodology.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $115,000 – $155,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Phoenix, AZ
