Role Overview
Adventa Tech Inc is currently seeking a highly proficient Cloud Data Engineer for a critical onsite position in Richmond, Virginia. This role is designed for a technical expert who can navigate the complexities of modern cloud environments, specifically focusing on the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. As a key member of the development team, you will be instrumental in architecting and deploying cloud-native applications that drive business value. This position requires a local candidate with a valid Virginia Driver’s License, as the final interview stage involves a mandatory face-to-face meeting in Richmond.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-native applications across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud platforms.
- Collaborate closely with the Office of Information Management (OIM) and the Solutions Engineering and Architecture Team (SEAT) to align technical solutions with organizational goals.
- Manage and optimize Azure services including App Service, AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service), Functions, Storage, and various cloud databases.
- Implement containerization strategies using Docker and Kubernetes to ensure consistent deployment across environments.
- Develop robust backend logic using languages such as C#, Java, Python, Go, or Node.js.
- Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitLab, or similar tools to streamline the software development lifecycle.
- Ensure data protection and cloud security best practices are integrated into every stage of the development process, including IAM and encryption.
- Support the Data Management team in complex data transmission tasks and explore emerging data technologies to keep the organization at the forefront of innovation.
- Document all technical processes and architectural designs to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain system integrity.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with major cloud providers (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- At least 4 years of experience managing Azure-specific infrastructure and services like App Service and AKS.
- 3+ years of experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and containerization (Docker).
- 3+ years of proficiency in at least one major programming language such as C#, Java, or Python.
- Strong background in SQL Server, Oracle, or NoSQL database management and optimization.
- Proven experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps practices within a professional setting.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year
