Position Summary
We are looking for an expert Rhapsody Developer to join our healthcare technology team in Lansing, MI. This hybrid role requires a deep technical understanding of the Rhapsody Integration Engine to facilitate seamless data exchange across complex healthcare ecosystems. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining sophisticated interfaces that ensure patient data is moved securely and accurately between disparate systems.
Technical Responsibilities
- Utilize the latest Health Rhapsody Integration Engine (version 7.x) to build and manage robust data interfaces.
- Leverage the Rhapsody Developer Kit (RDK) to engineer custom filters, mappers, and communication points tailored to specific clinical needs.
- Perform complex message payload translations across multiple formats, including JSON, XML, HL7, and various proprietary or legacy formats.
- Implement and manage web services using SOAP and REST architectures, ensuring robust connectivity via OAUTH and TCP/LLP protocols.
- Enforce strict transport encryption and security standards, including TLS and mutual authorization via digital certificates.
- Collaborate with clinical stakeholders to define data mapping requirements and validation rules.
Core Requirements
- Extensive experience with Rhapsody 7.x and the RDK.
- Strong proficiency in healthcare data standards, particularly HL7 and FHIR.
- Hands-on experience with secure communication protocols and certificate management.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional IT and clinical teams.
Project Scope and Duration
This is a long-term contract engagement (6-12 months) focused on modernizing our integration layer. You will be working on critical projects that directly impact patient care by improving data liquidity. The role requires two days per week onsite at our Lansing facility to facilitate close collaboration with the infrastructure and security teams. Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
