Role Overview
As a Data Privacy Analyst in 2026, you will be at the forefront of protecting organizational integrity and consumer trust in an increasingly complex digital landscape. This role is critical for ensuring that our operations remain fully compliant with evolving global data protection laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and the latest CPRA amendments. You will be responsible for evaluating, designing, and implementing sophisticated technical privacy workflows that safeguard sensitive information while enabling business innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance Monitoring: You will manage a diverse array of privacy-related processes, providing hands-on assistance to engineering teams to bridge the gap between high-level policy and technical implementation. This involves continuous monitoring of data flows and ensuring that privacy controls are integrated into the software development lifecycle.
- Risk Mitigation: A core part of your role will involve reviewing various privacy assessments, including Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs). You will identify, report, and remediate privacy risks across the entire data lifecycle, from collection to disposal.
- Incident Response: In the event of technical process issues or potential data vulnerabilities, you will lead investigations in close collaboration with IT and Legal departments to ensure swift and effective resolution.
- Process Improvement: You will analyze privacy metrics to develop ‘privacy-by-design’ workflows. By leveraging AI and automation tools, you will optimize compliance tasks, reducing manual overhead and increasing the accuracy of our privacy posture.
- Stakeholder Management: You will act as a primary point of contact for privacy escalations, working with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems in high-pressure technical environments.
Technical Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 6+ years of dedicated experience in data privacy and compliance within a large-scale enterprise environment.
- AI Proficiency: In 2026, we expect our analysts to be proficient in modern AI tools such as Gemini and ChatGPT to enhance productivity, automate documentation, and perform deep data analysis.
- Privacy Software: Hands-on experience with privacy management platforms, specifically Securiti.ai, is essential for managing data discovery and automated compliance workflows.
- Regulatory Knowledge: You must possess a deep and current understanding of GDPR, CPRA, and other relevant global privacy regulations that impact data handling in California, Texas, and New York.
