Position Summary and Technical Leadership

As we approach 2026, the financial services industry continues to demand robust, scalable, and highly secure software solutions. We are looking for a .NET Lead Developer with extensive experience in AWS to join our team in Fort Mill, SC. This is a long-term, onsite role that requires a seasoned professional with over 12 years of experience in software engineering. The successful candidate will lead the development of mission-critical applications within the Asset and Wealth Management domain, specifically focusing on trade platforms and investment management systems. This role is not just about writing code; it is about providing technical leadership, architectural guidance, and ensuring that our software meets the highest standards of performance and reliability.

Core Technical Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of high-performance applications using .NET Core, C#, and MVC architectures.
  • Develop modern, responsive user interfaces using Angular, JavaScript, CSS, and jQuery, ensuring a seamless user experience for financial professionals.
  • Implement and enforce Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs), including advanced exception handling, multi-level caching strategies, comprehensive logging, and rigorous security protocols.
  • Apply deep knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and Design Patterns to create maintainable and extensible codebases.
  • Utilize ElastiCache (Redis/Memcached) and ORM frameworks to optimize data access and application performance.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and promote best practices in code refinement, unit testing, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Architect and manage cloud-native deployments on AWS, utilizing services such as ECS, EKS, API Gateway, AWS Lambda, and IAM.
  • Drive the adoption of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline automation using tools like TFS and GIT, and containerization with Docker.
  • Collaborate with Agile teams to deliver incremental value and respond quickly to changing business requirements in the fast-paced trade domain.

Domain Expertise and Certification Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the Asset and Wealth Management sector, with a deep understanding of trade lifecycles and investment management platforms. This domain knowledge is essential for performing accurate impact assessments and reverse engineering of complex financial systems. Furthermore, we require the Lead Developer to be AWS Certified. If you do not currently hold the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification, you will be expected to obtain it within the first two months of your engagement. This role is specifically for local candidates in the Fort Mill, SC area who can work onsite and contribute to our collaborative engineering culture. We are looking for a leader who can mentor junior developers, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and drive technical excellence across the entire software development lifecycle.

Need Only Locals. Domain: Asset and Wealth Management (Trade Domain). AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner required within 2 months.


Compensation & Location

Salary: $160,000 – $210,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Fort Mill, SC
