Position Summary
We are looking for a Senior GoLang Consultant to join our team in Dallas, TX, for a long-term engagement. This role begins as a remote position and focuses on designing and delivering high-performance backend systems and microservices. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in distributed, event-driven architectures and cloud-native design principles.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable backend systems using GoLang.
- Design and implement distributed, event-driven architectures to support high-growth SaaS environments.
- Build and optimize RESTful APIs and manage service communication patterns.
- Work with message queues such as Kafka and NATS for asynchronous processing.
- Utilize in-memory data stores like Redis or Memcached to enhance system performance.
- Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) using containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and maintain version control using Git.
- Ensure secure coding practices and compliance with data protection regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate) in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Extensive hands-on experience (Senior level) in GoLang for backend microservices.
- Proven track record in system design and evaluating performance trade-offs.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and microservices patterns.
- Experience with NoSQL databases and large-scale storage architectures.
- Familiarity with AI/ML systems or Generative AI workflows is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Secondary language proficiency in Java or Python.
- Experience in a high-growth tech environment or SaaS startup.
- Knowledge of web application security and secure SDLC.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $150,000 – $190,000 per year (Estimated)
