Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior BizOps Engineer with a specialized focus on BMC CMDB Administration to join our dynamic team in O’Fallon, MO. This long-term contract position is critical for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our configuration management database, which serves as the backbone for our IT Service Management (ITSM) processes. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in BMC Discovery (ADDM) and BMC Helix/Remedy ITSM modules, ensuring that our infrastructure data is seamlessly integrated and reconciled across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and administer BMC Discovery (on-prem/Helix) environments, including credential management and scan range optimization.
- Design and manage staggered scan schedules to ensure comprehensive CI population while maintaining system performance.
- Interpret and tune Discovery patterns to improve the accuracy of CI relationships and data flow into the CMDB.
- Execute complex data modeling for various CI classes, including Business Services, Applications, Compute, Network, Storage, and Cloud infrastructure.
- Manage BMC CMDB components such as Class Manager, CDM modeling, Normalization, and Reconciliation policies.
- Troubleshoot synchronization issues between Discovery and CMDB, ensuring high data quality and consistency.
- Utilize Atrium Integrator and ETL processes for bulk data loads and external system integrations.
- Perform backend queries and performance tuning on PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MS SQL databases.
- Develop automation scripts using Python, SQL, or PowerShell to streamline data fixes and utility tasks.
- Manage API-based integrations (REST/SOAP) using tools like curl and Swagger for request/payload management.
Technical Requirements
The successful candidate must demonstrate a solid understanding of ITSM processes, particularly Configuration Management, Change Management, Incident Management, and Problem Management. You will be responsible for aligning CI dependencies across BMC Helix/Remedy modules to support Impact Analysis and Product Catalog configurations. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying data gaps and implementing robust reconciliation policies to ensure the CMDB remains a ‘single source of truth’ for the organization. In the evolving landscape of 2026, the ability to manage hybrid cloud environments and complex microservices architectures within the CMDB framework is paramount. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that foundational data configurations support global business operations and service delivery excellence.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $120,000 – $165,000 per year (Estimated)
