Role Overview: JAVA GenAI Consultant
Dcode Talent is seeking a visionary JAVA GenAI Consultant for a 100% remote, long-term contract engagement. This role is centered on Legacy Modernization, where you will lead initiatives to transform aging enterprise systems into scalable, cloud-native, and AI-enabled applications. In the 2026 enterprise environment, modernization is no longer just about moving to the cloud; it is about embedding Generative AI into the core architecture of business applications to drive efficiency and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Modernize legacy enterprise applications using Java 8+ and the Spring Boot ecosystem, ensuring high performance and scalability.
- Architect and maintain scalable REST APIs and backend services utilizing JPA/Hibernate and relational database systems.
- Develop AI-enabled features and microservices using Python frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI to complement the Java backend.
- Integrate Generative AI and LLM-driven workflows (e.g., RAG, automated summarization, intelligent routing) into production systems.
- Design and implement event-driven or streaming solutions using technologies like Kafka or Project Reactor for real-time data processing.
- Build modern, responsive user-facing applications using React to deliver seamless AI-powered user experiences.
- Deploy and manage the full application lifecycle within Azure cloud environments, leveraging containerization and serverless technologies.
- Collaborate within an Agile framework, adhering to modern engineering standards and CI/CD best practices.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-6 years of experience building production-grade full-stack applications with Java and Spring Boot.
- Strong proficiency in building RESTful services and working with relational databases (SQL); NoSQL experience is a significant plus.
- Hands-on experience with Python (Flask/FastAPI) in a production setting, specifically for AI/ML service integration.
- Proven experience implementing GenAI or LLM-based capabilities within enterprise-scale applications.
- Expertise in building scalable systems using event-driven or streaming architectures (Kafka).
- Solid frontend development skills with React and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience with Azure cloud platforms, Git, and automated testing pipelines.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $155,000 – $205,000 per year (Estimated)
