Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Linux Administrator to join our technical operations team in Minneapolis, MN. This is an onsite position requiring a professional who is comfortable working directly with physical and virtual server infrastructure. As we move into 2026, the complexity of enterprise Linux environments continues to grow, and we need an administrator who can navigate the nuances of RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, and SUSE with precision and expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise Linux servers across multiple distributions including RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, and SUSE.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and version upgrades to ensure environment stability and security.
- Implement security hardening protocols and maintain compliance with industry standards and internal security policies.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization to ensure high availability and efficient resource utilization.
- Manage network configurations, including firewall rules, routing, and DNS management within the Linux ecosystem.
- Oversee backup management and disaster recovery planning to protect critical business data.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and Perl.
- Provide support for virtualization platforms and database server environments as needed.
Technical Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Linux kernel internals and system architecture. You should be proficient in managing large-scale server deployments and have a proven track record of troubleshooting complex system issues. Experience with automation tools is a significant advantage, as we aim to streamline our operations through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. Additionally, familiarity with cloud integration and hybrid-cloud environments will be beneficial as we continue to evolve our infrastructure strategy.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an onsite team setting.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $115,000 – $155,000 per year (Estimated)
