The selected candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of cloud-native applications. This includes the initial architectural design, where you will collaborate with stakeholders to define system requirements and performance benchmarks. You will be expected to implement CI/CD pipelines that automate the testing and deployment of microservices to GKE clusters. Security is a paramount concern; therefore, you will work closely with the DevSecOps team to ensure that all GCP resources are configured according to the principle of least privilege and comply with industry standards such as SOC2 and GDPR. The integration of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is no longer optional but a fundamental requirement for ensuring scalability and reliability across distributed systems. Furthermore, the role touches upon the modern front-end stack with ReactJS, requiring an engineer who understands the full lifecycle of a request from the user interface to the backend data store. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) via Terraform is essential for maintaining environment consistency.
