Position Summary: Senior SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)
DVG Tech Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SDET with strong Java expertise to join our team onsite in Alpharetta, GA. This is a senior-level position requiring a minimum of 11 years of IT experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining sophisticated automated test frameworks that ensure the quality, scalability, and reliability of our enterprise applications. You will work closely with developers and product owners in a fast-paced Agile environment to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable automated test frameworks from scratch using Java.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts for web applications using Selenium WebDriver and TestNG/JUnit.
- Lead API automation efforts using RestAssured or similar tools to ensure the integrity of backend services.
- Implement Behavior Driven Development (BDD) practices using Cucumber to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI) to facilitate continuous testing and rapid deployment.
- Perform complex database validation using SQL to ensure data integrity across various environments.
- Collaborate with the development team to identify, document, and track software defects using tools like JIRA.
- Participate in all Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Must have 11+ years of professional experience in Information Technology, with a focus on software quality engineering.
- Expert-level programming skills in Java, with a deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns.
- Extensive experience with automation tools: Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, and Cucumber.
- Proven track record in API testing and automation (RestAssured, Postman).
- Strong proficiency in version control systems, specifically Git.
- Solid understanding of SQL and experience with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL).
- Experience working in a mature Agile/Scrum environment.
