Role Overview
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and visionary Senior Data Scientist to join our advanced analytics team. This is a high-impact contract position that offers the flexibility of a remote work arrangement, though candidates located in Dallas, Texas, or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, are highly preferred. The successful candidate will bring a minimum of 13 years of comprehensive experience in software development and AI/ML engineering, with a specific focus on the latest advancements in Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs). This role is designed for a technical leader who can bridge the gap between complex data science research and practical, scalable engineering solutions that drive business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and deploy state-of-the-art machine learning models to solve intricate, real-world business problems within the financial services sector.
- Lead the extraction, cleaning, and preprocessing of massive, unstructured datasets from a variety of internal and external sources, ensuring high data quality and integrity.
- Conduct sophisticated deep-dive analyses to identify hidden trends, anomalies, and behavioral patterns that inform strategic decision-making at the executive level.
- Build, train, and rigorously validate predictive models and machine learning algorithms, including regression, classification, clustering, and advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP).
- Perform and lead comprehensive analyses of historical data to surface actionable insights using advanced statistical and analytical methodologies.
- Mentor, coach, and develop a team of data scientists and analysts, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous professional growth.
- Proactively expand organizational knowledge of business analytics and share emerging AI techniques and frameworks with the broader engineering team.
- Communicate complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders through compelling data storytelling and advanced visualization techniques.
Technical Requirements and Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a highly quantitative field is strictly required.
- Candidates must have graduated from top-notch, prestigious universities to meet the academic standards of this role.
- Minimum of 6 years (ideally 13+ years) of professional experience in Machine Learning Engineering, AI Development, or a closely related technical field.
- Demonstrated expertise with vector databases, complex data pipelines, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems.
- In-depth knowledge of LLMs, GenAI, Prompt Engineering, and Agentic AI frameworks is essential for success in this position.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to apply analytical skills to ambiguous problems, translating insights into actionable engineering solutions.
- Proven experience in designing and executing end-to-end experiments that lead to production-ready AI features.
Preferred Experience and Domain Expertise
- Previous professional experience working for Tier 1 global technology and consulting firms such as TCS, WIPRO, Infosys, or Cap Gemini is highly preferred.
- Domain expertise in Personal Investment Banking is a significant advantage, as the role involves solving problems specific to financial services.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are required to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with data storytelling through visualization tools to make data insights accessible to business leaders.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $185,000 – $265,000 per year (Estimated)
