Role Overview: Senior ServiceNow Developer
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior ServiceNow Developer for an urgent W2 position. This role is based in either Plano, TX or McLean, VA, and requires an onsite presence. As we move into 2026, the ServiceNow platform continues to be the backbone of enterprise digital transformation, and we need a developer who can leverage its full potential to drive efficiency and innovation. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical background in ServiceNow development and a strong understanding of business processes, particularly in the areas of Risk and Compliance (GRC).
Key Responsibilities and Strategic Impact
- Design, develop, and implement complex ServiceNow applications and services tailored to meet specific business needs.
- Lead the technical implementation of ServiceNow GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) modules to enhance organizational security and regulatory adherence.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated Glide Record queries and server-side scripting to automate intricate workflows.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Optimize platform performance and ensure the scalability of ServiceNow instances across the enterprise.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for complex platform issues.
- Stay abreast of the latest ServiceNow releases and features, particularly those involving AI and machine learning integrations, to provide forward-thinking solutions.
Technical Requirements and Qualifications
- Must be a Certified ServiceNow Application Developer (CAD) with a minimum of 7 years of professional experience.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience with core web technologies including JavaScript, Ajax, XML, JSON, HTML, and CSS.
- Extensive experience with Glide Record queries, Business Rules, Client Scripts, and UI Actions.
- Proven track record in implementing and customizing ServiceNow GRC modules.
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and how they are mapped within the ServiceNow environment.
- Experience with integration technologies such as REST/SOAP APIs and IntegrationHub.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
