Role Overview: Senior Embedded Software Engineer
As we move into 2026, the demand for high-performance embedded systems in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex has reached an all-time high. DMS Visions Inc is seeking a seasoned Embedded Software Engineer for a critical 12-month onsite contract. This role is designed for a technical leader who can navigate the complexities of modern hardware/software integration while maintaining a focus on security and scalability.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Leadership
- Lead the design, planning, and development of sophisticated embedded software components for next-generation products.
- Drive the entire product lifecycle, from initial technical requirement definition to final manufacturing support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Hardware, Testing, and Marketing to ensure project deliverables meet high-quality standards.
- Implement unit test-driven development (TDD) to ensure code reliability and maintainability.
- Identify and prototype new technologies to enhance the organization’s intellectual property portfolio.
- Manage technical leadership tasks, including project planning and tracking for multi-site development teams.
Technical Requirements and Expertise
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in C/C++ development within embedded environments.
- Deep expertise in Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and Linux application process development.
- Strong familiarity with Embedded Security protocols and wireless communication technologies.
- Experience with modern control theory and its practical applications in hardware integration.
- Proficiency with Configuration Management tools and both static and dynamic analysis software.
- Proven track record in both Waterfall and Iterative software development methodologies.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
