Opportunity Overview: Senior Neo4J Developer

We are currently seeking an expert Neo4J Developer for a long-term consulting engagement in New York City. This role is critical for a major financial institution focusing on high-stakes domains such as Fraud Detection, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Investment Banking. As a graph database specialist, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing complex data models that reveal hidden relationships within massive datasets, providing actionable insights for business users.

Technical Requirements and Core Responsibilities

  • Graph Database Expertise: You must possess over 5 years of dedicated experience with Neo4j. This includes mastery of Cypher queries and the ability to utilize out-of-the-box graph algorithms for pathfinding, centrality, and community detection.
  • Performance Optimization: A significant portion of this role involves query performance tuning. You will adopt advanced optimization techniques, including custom indexing strategies and sophisticated data modeling, to ensure sub-second response times for complex traversals.
  • Full SDLC Integration: You will be involved in every phase of the Software Development Life Cycle. This includes initial business requirements analysis, deep-dive data analysis, architectural modeling, development, rigorous testing, and final deployment.
  • Domain-Specific Application: Working closely with Fraud and AML teams, you will translate business problems into graph-based solutions. Your work will directly impact the institution’s ability to detect suspicious patterns and financial crimes in real-time.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $160,000 – $210,000 per year (Estimated)
