Role Overview: Senior Full Stack Developer (Java/React)
Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, this 6-month contract role in Sunnyvale, CA, offers a unique opportunity to work on high-scale, reactive microservices. The position follows a 70/30 split, with a primary focus on robust backend engineering using Java and a significant secondary focus on modern frontend development with React. In the 2026 technology landscape, the ability to build fault-tolerant, n-tier architectures that seamlessly integrate with public cloud ecosystems like GCP and Azure is paramount. Backend Engineering Excellence (70%)
- Develop and maintain highly scalable, fault-tolerant microservices using Java, Scala, and Go, leveraging frameworks like Spring Boot and Apache Camel.
- Architect cloud-native systems deployed within Kubernetes ecosystems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure.
- Design and implement complex data models using both SQL and NoSQL databases, including Oracle, Cassandra, and Azure Cosmos DB.
- Ensure extreme reliability through multithreading, performance tuning, and high test coverage using Mockito and JUnit.
- Follow a rigorous engineering approach including comprehensive code reviews, detailed documentation, and clean code principles.
Frontend and UI Innovation (30%)
- Build responsive, high-performance web applications using ReactJS, React Hooks, and Next.js.
- Utilize TypeScript and ES6+ to create reusable, component-based modules that enhance user experience and code efficiency.
- Implement sophisticated state management solutions using Redux, Flux, or Flow to handle complex data flows in real-time.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness for all user-facing features.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate functional requirements into intuitive technical solutions.
Project Scope and Environment
