Position Summary
We are looking for a seasoned Business Analyst with specialized experience in the Aviation and Airline industry to join our project team onsite in Miami, FL, or White Plains, NY. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between complex business needs and technical execution within the fast-paced airline sector. As the industry continues to modernize its legacy systems and adopt digital-first strategies in 2026, your expertise will be essential in defining the next generation of passenger services, flight operations, and logistics platforms. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that every product enhancement delivers maximum value and aligns with strategic business goals.
Core Responsibilities
- Partner with cross-functional business units to elicit, analyze, and document comprehensive business requirements.
- Translate high-level business needs into detailed technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Support the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies.
- Facilitate requirement gathering sessions and workshops with diverse stakeholder groups, including executive leadership and technical leads.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of product roadmaps and strategic planning initiatives.
- Identify and track project risks, providing proactive mitigation strategies to ensure on-time delivery.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineering teams to ensure that delivered solutions meet all functional and non-functional requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Product Analyst within a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Deep understanding of Agile frameworks, including experience working in Scrum or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable business insights.
- Excellent documentation skills, with proficiency in tools like Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
- Superior communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decision-making at all levels.
- Familiarity with modern software development concepts and the ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams.
Industry Specific Expertise
A critical requirement for this role is a strong background in the Aviation or Airline industry. Candidates should possess a deep understanding of industry-specific domains such as Global Distribution Systems (GDS), Passenger Service Systems (PSS), flight scheduling, crew management, or loyalty programs. Experience navigating the regulatory and operational complexities of the airline sector is highly preferred. You will be expected to apply this domain knowledge to improve operational efficiency and enhance the customer journey for one of the world’s leading carriers.
Methodologies & Tools
- Expertise in SDLC management and business process modeling (BPMN).
- Proficiency in project management principles and risk assessment techniques.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools to communicate project progress to stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a high-pressure, onsite environment.
Special Requirements
Onsite requirement in Miami, FL or White Plains, NY; Domain restriction: Aviation/Airline industry experience is mandatory.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $110,000 – $155,000 per year (Estimated)
