About the Role

We are seeking a Customer Engagement Manager, a strategic mid-leadership role responsible for orchestrating enterprise-level cloud migration initiatives across multiple projects and strategic customer accounts. The ideal candidate will oversee comprehensive migration planning, coordinate cross-functional teams, and align technical solutions with business objectives. This position requires strong project management expertise, balanced technical understanding, and exceptional stakeholder management skills to deliver successful cloud transformation outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple migration projects simultaneously across strategic customer accounts, ensuring alignment with client goals.
  • Develop portfolio-level roadmaps and migration strategies that optimize resource allocation and project timelines.
  • Implement and build standardized processes and templates to ensure consistency and quality across the entire migration portfolio.
  • Provide consultative guidance to clients on modernization strategies and cloud adoption frameworks (CAF).
  • Align cloud migration initiatives with clients’ business goals and digital transformation objectives to maximize ROI.
  • Develop comprehensive business cases and ROI models for cloud migration at an enterprise scale.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement across client engagements to drive long-term value.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to understand application landscapes, dependencies, and critical paths.
  • Support architects in developing practical migration patterns that can be applied across various projects.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into business terms for effective stakeholder communication and decision-making.
  • Maintain awareness of relevant cloud technologies and migration best practices to facilitate informed leadership.

Technical and Analytical Skills

  • Familiarity with application portfolio assessment and rationalization tools.
  • Deep understanding of cloud economics and FinOps principles to manage project budgets effectively.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman.
  • Familiarity with modern technologies including containerization, microservices architecture, and serverless computing.
  • Strong data analysis abilities to evaluate application portfolios and prioritize migration waves.
  • Experience using quantitative methods to assess migration complexity and effort.
  • Proficiency in developing business cases with TCO/ROI calculations.
  • Proficiency in project management tools like MS Project, Jira, and Trello.

Qualifications

  • 14-16 years of total IT experience with at least 7 years in Program Management.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale cloud migration projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and security principles.
  • Experience with Migration, Modernization, and DevOps practices and tools.
  • Extreme familiarity with Cloud Adoption Framework and Well-Architected Framework.
  • Certifications: PgMP and/or PMP are required. AWS Solutions Architect (Pro/Associate) or Azure/GCP equivalents are highly preferred.

Special Requirements

Hybrid role in Herndon, VA. Long-term contract. Requires PgMP/PMP and Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP).


Compensation & Location

Salary: $160,000 – $215,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Herndon, VA
