Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) Consultant for a critical onsite role in Byhalia, MS. This position requires a minimum of 15 years of SAP experience, with a specific focus on S/4 HANA Public Cloud. The successful candidate will lead the design and implementation of secure, compliant, and cost-effective cloud integration solutions for manufacturing processes. This is a high-impact role requiring deep domain expertise in manufacturing strategies and quality assurance workflows within the SAP ecosystem.
Core Responsibilities
- Architect cloud infrastructure and optimize performance for SAP PP and QM modules to meet evolving business needs.
- Analyze, design, and implement business requirements for manufacturing strategies such as Make-to-Stock and Make-to-Order.
- Configure master data including material masters, bills of materials (BOMs), routings, work centers, and production versions.
- Implement demand management, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), Long Term Planning, and capacity planning to ensure resource utilization.
- Integrate PP with Quality Management, Plant Maintenance, Material Management, and Finance/Controlling (FI/CO).
- Design and implement Quality Issue Resolution (QIR), Non-Conformance Report (NCR), and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes.
- Develop and implement EDI integrations and supplier quality interfaces to exchange APQP/PPAP documentation.
- Lead SAP implementation and upgrade projects from initial analysis through design, configuration, and deployment.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables for large-scale SAP initiatives.
- Provide Level 2 and 3 support for troubleshooting complex system issues and performance bottlenecks.
Technical Expertise
- Deep knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA Public Cloud is mandatory for this role.
- Expertise in configuring inspection plans, sampling procedures, control plans, and characteristic specifications.
- Experience with supplier collaboration tools such as SAP Ariba for streamlined onboarding and quality tracking.
- Proficiency in creating comprehensive Business Process Documents (BPDs) and detailed process flow diagrams.
- Strong understanding of integration with third-party systems like MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and LIMS.
- Knowledge of industry standards and emerging technologies such as IoT, machine learning, and advanced analytics in manufacturing.
Requirements and Qualifications
- 15+ years of hands-on SAP PP and QM consulting experience in complex industrial environments.
- Proven ability to work with stakeholders in production, quality, maintenance, and EHS to optimize workflows.
- Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to educate end-users on SAP functionality and APQP/PPAP workflows.
- Strong analytical and root cause analysis skills for resolving recurring system and process issues.
- Willingness to work onsite in Byhalia, MS from day one of the engagement.
Project Context
The project involves a 6+ month contract duration with the potential for extension based on performance and project milestones. As a senior consultant, you will be expected to drive the digital transformation of the manufacturing floor, ensuring that SAP solutions are not only functional but also optimized for cost and performance in a 2026 cloud-first environment.
Special Requirements
Onsite from Day 1; S/4 Hana Public Cloud Experience is Mandatory
Compensation & Location
Salary: $185,000 – $260,000 per year (Estimated)
