Role Overview
MBIT Associates LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior React Native Mobile Developer for a critical hybrid role based in Detroit, Michigan, or Charlotte, North Carolina. This position requires a seasoned professional with 8 to 12 years of experience in the mobile development landscape. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end development of high-performance mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms. This role is designed for a technical leader who can navigate complex architectures, mentor junior developers, and collaborate effectively with onsite client stakeholders and product owners. The position follows a hybrid work model, requiring three days per week on-site at the designated office location.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of mobile application development using React Native, ensuring high-quality output for both iOS and Android ecosystems.
- Actively participate in architectural discussions, providing expert input on design decisions, technical roadmaps, and system scalability.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to the mobile development team, conducting rigorous code reviews and enforcing industry best practices.
- Work closely with onsite client stakeholders, architects, and product owners to align technical execution with business objectives.
- Translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable, and high-performance mobile solutions.
- Drive continuous performance optimization, focusing on application stability, efficient memory management, and the reduction of crash rates.
- Ensure all mobile applications adhere to strict security protocols, compliance standards, and enterprise mobility guidelines.
- Integrate mobile front-ends with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, backend microservices, and various third-party SDKs.
- Utilize hands-on expertise in real-time technologies including Websockets, RTC, and feature management tools like LaunchDarkly.
- Oversee and manage CI/CD pipelines, build processes, and the deployment of applications to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis for production issues to ensure minimal downtime.
- Engage in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, effort estimation, and technical risk assessment.
- Contribute to innovation through Proof of Concepts (POCs) and technical feasibility studies for new features.
Technical Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience with React Native, JavaScript, and TypeScript is essential.
- Deep understanding of native iOS and Android development environments and their respective platform-specific nuances.
- Advanced proficiency in state management solutions such as Redux, Context API, MobX, or Redux Toolkit.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mobile UI/UX design principles, including accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive design.
- Proven experience in implementing mobile security measures, including encryption and secure local storage.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS), Firebase services, and mobile analytics integration.
- Experience with enterprise-grade authentication mechanisms such as SSO, OAuth, and SAML.
- Innovative mindset with experience using Large Language Models (LLMs) to accelerate development cycles, including prompt engineering and AI-assisted code verification.

- Strong onsite communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions, resolve conflicts, and influence strategic decisions.
- Extensive experience working within mature Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent documentation skills for technical specifications and presentation skills for sharing progress with non-technical teams.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
