Role Overview: API and Integrations Developer (Full Stack)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Talent Productivity Engineering team at LinkedIn. This role is critical in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable APIs, complex system integrations, and event-driven services that power internal productivity tools. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of backend expertise in .NET and Python, coupled with modern frontend capabilities in React.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust, scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using .NET and Python (Flask/FastAPI).
  • Develop and maintain high-performance frontend interfaces using React, Node.js, and state management libraries like Redux or Zustand.
  • Architect and manage system integrations within an Azure cloud environment, ensuring seamless data flow between disparate services.
  • Implement event-driven architectures and messaging patterns to support real-time data processing and system responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Optimize application performance, ensuring low latency and high availability for critical productivity tools.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews, mentor junior developers, and advocate for engineering best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the full application stack.

Technical Requirements

  • Extensive experience with .NET framework and C# for backend service development (approx. 70% of the role).
  • Strong proficiency in Python, specifically with frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Bottle (approx. 30% of the role).
  • Advanced frontend skills in React.js, including hooks, context API, and modern styling approaches.
  • Hands-on experience with Node.js and Express for middleware and server-side logic.
  • Deep understanding of API design principles, routing, middleware, and security protocols (OAuth, JWT).
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
  • Proficiency in Azure cloud services, including Azure Functions, Service Bus, and App Services.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, including GIT, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization.
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks like Locust for performance testing and Airflow for workflow orchestration.

Work Environment and Expectations

This is a 100% onsite position located in Sunnyvale, CA. Candidates must be local to the area as no relocation assistance is provided. The selection process includes a mandatory final round interview conducted onsite at the client’s Sunnyvale campus. Compensation & Location

Salary: $165,000 – $215,000 per year (Estimated)
