Position Summary: Senior Certified Project Manager
We are seeking a highly experienced and PMP-certified Project Manager to lead critical Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehousing (DW) initiatives in Madison, WI. This role is designed for a seasoned professional with over 12 years of project management experience, specifically within the public sector or large-scale enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the full project lifecycle, from initial discovery and requirements gathering to deployment and post-implementation support. You will be responsible for managing complex technical projects that involve custom application development, data analysis, and the integration of sophisticated BI tools.
Core Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee high-priority BI/DW projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Apply rigorous Project Management Institute (PMI) standards and methodologies to manage project risks, issues, and changes effectively.
- Lead cross-functional teams of data analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to design and implement robust data warehouse solutions.
- Manage organizational change management processes to ensure smooth transitions and high user adoption of new BI tools and applications.
- Utilize technical knowledge of Informatica and Business Objects (or equivalent ETL/BI tooling) to guide technical discussions and decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with State of Wisconsin privacy regulations and data security standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and executive leadership, providing regular status updates and strategic recommendations.
- Conduct thorough data analysis and DW design reviews to ensure solutions meet the evolving needs of the agency.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 12 years of experience as a Project Manager, with a proven track record of success in BI/DW or custom application projects.
- Active PMP Certification is mandatory and must be maintained throughout the duration of the contract.
- Extensive experience with Change Management and Data Analysis within a large organizational framework.
- Technical proficiency or familiarity with Informatica, Business Objects, and modern data warehousing architectures.
- Strong preference for candidates with a history of working for Wisconsin-based clients or State of Wisconsin agencies (e.g., DCF).
- Deep understanding of State of Wisconsin privacy regulations and administrative requirements.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $155,000 – $205,000 per year
