Role Overview: Lead Business Analyst (Insurance Domain)
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Lead Business Analyst to join our team onsite in Raleigh, NC. This role is designed for a seasoned professional with over 12 years of experience in business analysis, specifically within the insurance industry. As a Lead BA, you will be the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that complex insurance requirements are translated into robust, scalable technology solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of the insurance lifecycle and the ability to lead high-level discussions regarding solution design and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities and Domain Expertise
- Insurance Domain Mastery: Demonstrate extensive knowledge in Life, Health, or General Insurance sectors. You will be expected to navigate the nuances of different insurance products and regulatory environments.
- Process Optimization: Lead the analysis and improvement of core insurance processes, including underwriting, claims management, policy administration, and billing systems.
- Requirement Leadership: Facilitate requirement gathering sessions with executive stakeholders, ensuring all business needs are captured, prioritized, and documented with precision.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with architects and developers to design solutions that align with business goals while maintaining technical feasibility.
- Methodology Execution: Drive projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, adapting your approach based on project needs and organizational standards.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as a primary point of contact for business leaders, managing expectations and providing regular updates on project progress and risks.
- Documentation Excellence: Utilize tools like JIRA, Confluence, and MS Visio to create comprehensive business requirement documents (BRD), functional requirement specifications (FRS), and process flow diagrams.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 12 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst in the IT sector.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale projects within the Insurance domain.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and business rules.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing decision-makers at all levels.
- Proficiency in modern project management and modeling tools.
- Ability to work onsite in Raleigh, NC, fostering collaboration within a physical office environment.
