Position Summary: GRC Analyst
Dia Software Solutions is looking for a dedicated GRC Analyst to support a direct client in South Chesterfield, VA. This hybrid role focuses on Information Technology Governance, Risk, and Compliance within a Higher Education environment. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining IT governance frameworks and ensuring compliance with critical regulations such as FERPA and HIPAA. A unique and exciting aspect of this role involves developing governance and ethical use policies for Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies within the academic and administrative landscape.
Core Responsibilities
- Governance Framework Management: Maintain and evolve IT governance frameworks based on COBIT and ITIL standards to support diverse university operations.
- Regulatory Compliance Monitoring: Ensure strict adherence to FERPA, HIPAA, and other security standards relevant to higher education and research.
- AI Policy Development: Lead the creation and update of policies regarding the ethical use of AI, data privacy in AI models, and cybersecurity standards for AI-driven tools.
- Audit Coordination: Prepare documentation and coordinate with internal and external auditors for technology compliance and accreditation reviews.
- Security Awareness: Leverage AI tools to monitor and enhance security awareness programs for students, faculty, and staff.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging AI regulations and GRC best practices to provide proactive recommendations for process enhancements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience in IT governance, risk management, or compliance roles.
- Framework Knowledge: Deep familiarity with NIST, ISO, COBIT, and ITIL frameworks.
- Higher Education Context: Understanding of academic systems such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), Student Information Systems (SIS), and ERP platforms.
- Analytical Prowess: Ability to interpret complex AI compliance requirements and apply them to practical administrative contexts.
- Communication: Strong ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including faculty, technical teams, and senior administrators.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or a related field is preferred.

Compensation & Location
