Role Overview: Senior Python Automation Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Python Automation Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Fremont, California. This role is critical for ensuring the quality and reliability of our complex software systems through advanced automated testing methodologies. The ideal candidate will possess over 9 years of professional experience in software quality assurance, with a deep specialization in Python-based automation frameworks and object-oriented programming.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Scope
- Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated automated test suites using Python and object-oriented design principles to ensure scalable and reusable code.
- Implement comprehensive test strategies across multiple platforms and languages to maximize code coverage and improve overall system stability.
- Execute both functional and automated testing cycles, identifying critical bugs and performance bottlenecks early in the development lifecycle.
- Develop and optimize automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver for web-based user interface testing.
- Write and maintain backend integration tests and automated scripts for validating RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Design and execute rigorous integration, regression, and stress tests using industry-standard tools to ensure high-performance delivery.
- Collaborate closely with Business Analysts and Software Developers to translate complex business requirements into actionable and detailed test cases.
- Define, implement, and manage comprehensive test plans and specifications for large-scale, cross-functional projects.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior QA engineers, driving engineering best practices across the organization.
- Participate in architectural reviews to ensure testability is integrated into the software design phase.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 9 years of hands-on experience in Python Automation Engineering.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and its associated testing libraries (PyTest, Unittest).
- Strong experience with Selenium for UI automation and API testing tools (Postman, Requests).
- Proven track record of building automation frameworks from scratch.
- Excellent understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on detail and quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Salary: $155,000 – $210,000 per year (Estimated)
