Role Overview
The Teamcenter Senior Developer and Architect role in Franklin Lakes, NJ, is a pivotal position responsible for the strategic design and technical execution of Siemens Teamcenter PLM solutions. This role is tailored for an expert who can bridge the gap between high-level architectural vision and hands-on technical customization. As organizations increasingly move toward digital thread and twin technologies in 2026, your expertise in Teamcenter Unified will be essential for driving global product lifecycle efficiency.
Technical Requirements
- Expertise in Siemens Teamcenter Unified (versions 23xx, 2406, 2512) and its underlying architecture.
- Advanced BMIDE (Business Modeler IDE) configuration, including data modeling, business rules, LOVs, and deep copy rules.
- Extensive server-side development experience using ITK (Integration Toolkit) in C/C++ and Java.
- Proficiency in SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) and RAC (Rich Analysis Client) customization.
- Strong client-side development skills in Active Workspace (AWC) using JavaScript, Angular, and CSS for UI enhancements.
- Experience with T4S (Teamcenter Gateway for SAP) and T4EA (Teamcenter Gateway for Enterprise Applications) for seamless system integration.
- Knowledge of cloud-hosted PLM environments, specifically on Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable PLM solutions across global enterprise environments.
- Manage complex Teamcenter upgrades, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime during transitions to newer versions like 2406 or 2512.
- Develop custom handlers, workflow actions, and commands to automate business processes and improve user productivity.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and SMEs to define technical roadmaps and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Provide architectural oversight for integrations between Teamcenter and other enterprise systems like ERP or CAD tools.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership in an onsite/offshore delivery model.
- Manage technical escalations and perform root-cause analysis for complex system issues.
Soft Skills and Leadership
The successful candidate must demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. You will be expected to manage escalations and work seamlessly within a hybrid onsite/offshore model, ensuring that development standards are maintained across all teams. Analytical problem-solving and a structured approach to debugging are essential for maintaining the stability of enterprise-scale PLM environments. This role requires a proactive individual who can drive innovation and mentor the next generation of PLM professionals.
Special Requirements
Experience with Teamcenter upgrades (2312/2406/2512) required; Capability to manage onsite/offshore delivery models.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $150,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
