Role Overview
IMR Soft is seeking a highly skilled and experienced PL/SQL Developer with a specialized background in the Pharmaceutical domain to join our client’s team in Rahway, NJ. This is a long-term contract opportunity operating under a hybrid work model, requiring candidates to be local or within a commutable distance from the New Jersey/New York area. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Oracle PL/SQL development and have specific experience within the Pharmacovigilance (PV) Safety area.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex Oracle PL/SQL blocks, including stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers to support pharmaceutical data systems.
- Collaborate extensively with external vendors to understand technical designs, business logic, and integration requirements for safety-related applications.
- Lead and execute data migration strategies, ensuring data integrity and compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory standards.
- Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and efficient code design.
- Work within the PV Safety domain to ensure that all technical solutions align with safety reporting and monitoring requirements.
- Participate in the full software development life cycle (SDLC), from requirement gathering and design to testing and deployment.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production issues related to database systems and integrations.
Technical Requirements
- Extensive experience in Oracle PL/SQL development, with a focus on high-performance database applications.
- Proven track record in the Pharmaceutical industry, specifically within Pharmacovigilance or Drug Safety departments.
- Strong knowledge of PV Safety systems and the regulatory environment surrounding drug safety data.
- Experience with data integration and migration projects involving large-scale pharmaceutical datasets.
- Ability to interpret complex business logic and translate it into efficient technical designs.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors.
Work Environment and Benefits
This position offers a stable, long-term contract engagement with a competitive rate of $50/hr on a C2C basis. The hybrid work arrangement in Rahway, NJ, provides a balance of onsite collaboration and remote flexibility. Compensation & Location
Salary: $104,000 – $125,000 per year
