Role Overview

Adventa Tech Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Hogan IDS Developer for a long-term remote engagement. This role is critical to our client’s modernization journey, focusing on the development, maintenance, and integration of Hogan IDS platforms. As a Senior Engineer, you will be integrated into the client’s development team on a staff augmentation basis, providing technical leadership and hands-on expertise in mainframe technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement technical solutions within the Hogan IDS framework to support DDA (Demand Deposit Account) and TDA (Time Deposit Account) functions.
  • Perform complex coding tasks using COBOL, JCL, and VSAM, ensuring high performance and reliability of mainframe applications.
  • Lead unit testing, integration testing, and support advanced system testing phases to ensure seamless production migrations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Hogan IDS with vendor platforms, specifically the Zafin product suite.
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting for technical issues related to mainframe file processing and CICS environments.
  • Participate in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) exercises and implementation strategies to ensure system resilience.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and implementation plans.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on Hogan technical standards and best practices.

Required Technical Skills

  • Minimum of 10 years of intensive experience with Hogan IDS applications.
  • Strong proficiency in Mainframe technologies including COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and CICS.
  • Hands-on experience with CA-7 scheduling and PCDs.
  • Proven experience in API development and integration within a mainframe environment.
  • Familiarity with Hogan CIS (Customer Information System) is highly preferred.
  • Experience with Zafin platform integration is a significant advantage.
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and various development methodologies.

Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high productivity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $145,000 – $190,000 per year (Estimated)
