Position Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Power Platform Developer to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. This onsite contract role is designed for a professional who excels at creating innovative business solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform suite. You will be responsible for the end-to-end development of applications that streamline business processes, enhance data visibility, and leverage the latest in Generative AI through Copilot Studio. This is a unique opportunity to work in a regulated environment, specifically within the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector, where your solutions will have a direct impact on operational efficiency, clinical data management, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who can turn complex business challenges into elegant, automated solutions.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance business process applications using Power Apps, focusing on both Canvas and Model-driven architectures to meet diverse user needs across the enterprise.
- Build and maintain robust SharePoint-based data models and lists, ensuring that the back-end structures are scalable, secure, and optimized for application performance.
- Develop and publish high-impact Power BI dashboards that provide leadership with actionable insights through advanced data modeling, DAX calculations, and visualization best practices.
- Implement complex workflow automation using Power Automate to reduce manual effort, improve process consistency, and integrate disparate systems across the organization.
- Lead the creation and deployment of Copilot Studio solutions, integrating Generative AI to enhance user interactions and automate conversational workflows for internal teams.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define user stories, and translate those needs into technical architectures and functional deliverables.
- Manage the full application lifecycle, including deployment, version control, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of existing tools within the Power Platform environment.
- Ensure all solutions adhere to strict organizational governance, security protocols, and industry-specific compliance standards (such as GxP in a pharmaceutical context).
Required Technical Skills
- Extensive hands-on experience with Power Apps and Power Automate is required, with a portfolio of successfully deployed enterprise-grade solutions.
- Deep understanding of SharePoint as a data source, including permissions management, complex data structures, and integration with the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
- Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and the ability to create visually compelling reports from disparate data sources like SQL Server, Excel, and Dataverse.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between non-technical business users and technical implementation teams.
- Experience with workflow optimization and the ability to identify manual processes that are ripe for automation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Copilot Studio or other conversational AI platforms is a significant plus, especially for enterprise-level use cases involving Generative AI.
- Prior experience working in a pharmaceutical, clinical, or highly regulated environment is strongly preferred due to the specific compliance and documentation needs of the role.
- Familiarity with Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) starter kits, environment strategy, and governance best practices.
