Position Summary: Windows Server Administrator
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Windows Server Administrator for a long-term contract position onsite in Ada, Michigan. This role involves the comprehensive management of our server infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across a diverse range of Microsoft technologies. The successful candidate will work closely with the TCS delivery team to support critical business operations and infrastructure modernization projects.
Core Responsibilities and Technical Duties
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments across versions 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022.
- Administer Active Directory (AD) services, including the management of OUs, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and complex trust relationships.
- Manage core infrastructure services such as DNS, DHCP, DFS, and File/Print services to ensure seamless network operations.
- Utilize monitoring tools like SolarWinds, SCOM, or Splunk to track server performance and proactively address bottlenecks.
- Execute system patching and vulnerability remediation using WSUS, SCCM, or MECM to maintain a secure environment.
- Manage virtualization platforms, specifically VMware vSphere/ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V, including VM provisioning and resource allocation.
- Configure and maintain Windows Failover Clustering and other high-availability solutions for mission-critical applications.
- Implement and oversee backup and disaster recovery strategies using tools such as Veeam, Commvault, or Veritas NetBackup.
- Automate routine administrative tasks and system deployments using advanced PowerShell scripting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Network, Security, and Application development, to support integrated solutions.
Required Skills and Professional Expertise
- Extensive experience with the full lifecycle of Windows Server administration.
- Deep understanding of Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) and identity management.
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell for automation and configuration management.
- Experience with enterprise-grade backup and recovery solutions.
- Knowledge of server hardening techniques and compliance standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex system failures and performance issues in a high-pressure environment.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $105,000 – $145,000 per year (Estimated)
