Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Systems Analyst to join our dynamic team in Boston, MA. This is a hybrid role requiring three days onsite (Tuesday and Thursday are mandatory). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience within the Financial Services sector, specifically focusing on the Buy-Side. This position is critical for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions within our investment data platforms. As we move into 2026, the complexity of financial data continues to grow, and we need a professional who can navigate the intricacies of asset management with precision and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and translate complex business requirements into detailed functional specifications for technical teams.
  • Collaborate extensively with stakeholders, IT departments, Quality Assurance, and Development teams within an Agile framework.
  • Support and manage investment data flows from various sources into the Charles River platform.
  • Ensure the highest standards of data integrity, quality, and compliance with established SDLC standards.
  • Provide high-level application and production support to ensure seamless business operations.
  • Analyze equity, fixed income, and derivatives data to support investment decision-making processes.
  • Facilitate daily stand-ups and sprint planning sessions to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system processes and user manuals.

Technical Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Financial Services, with a strong preference for Buy-Side experience.
  • Deep domain expertise in Investment and Asset Management.
  • Solid understanding of financial instruments including Equity, Fixed Income, and Derivatives.
  • Advanced SQL skills are mandatory for data analysis, troubleshooting, and reporting.
  • Proven experience in supporting investment data platforms and understanding data lineage.
  • Familiarity with Azure, Charles River, Eagle, and IBOR technologies is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $135,000 – $175,000 per year
