Role Overview: IIB ACE Integration Java Developer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IIB ACE Integration Java Developer for a long-term engagement in Hartford, CT. This role is critical for our client’s digital transformation initiatives, focusing on delivering large-scale, high-performance integration solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep technical background in IBM Integration Bus (IIB) and App Connect Enterprise (ACE), combined with strong Java development capabilities and cloud-native design principles.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Depth
- Integration Engineering: Design, develop, and deploy complex message flows using IIB/ACE and IBM MQ. You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of integration services, ensuring seamless data flow across disparate systems.
- Architecture & Design: Apply 5+ years of integration architecture experience to build scalable and resilient systems. This includes expertise in ESQL, JavaCompute nodes, error handling strategies, and performance tuning to meet stringent SLAs.
- API Management: Lead API design efforts using REST/JSON and OpenAPI/Swagger. You will manage the full API lifecycle, ensuring backward compatibility and robust security protocols.
- Modern Development: Utilize Java microservices with Spring Boot to build modular components. Experience with MongoDB for schema design, indexing, and sharding is essential for managing modern data workloads.
- Cloud-Native Strategy: Implement solutions on Azure or GCP, leveraging PaaS services, containers (AKS/GKE), and automated CI/CD pipelines. You will ensure that all integrations are optimized for cloud environments.
- Security & Protocols: Maintain high security standards using HTTP/S, TLS, and JWT/JWKS. You will implement various integration patterns, including synchronous/asynchronous communication, pub-sub models, and saga patterns for distributed transactions.
Professional Requirements
Candidates must have 8 to 15 years of overall IT experience, with a minimum of 5 years specifically focused on integration engineering. A strong hands-on approach is required, as you will be expected to troubleshoot complex issues and optimize existing workflows. Excellent communication skills are vital for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
