Position Summary

Coforge is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Test Governance Consultant to serve as a Testing Governance Lead in Chicago, IL. This onsite role is pivotal in ensuring that our software testing practices are robust, compliant with Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) and System Development, Acquisition and Maintenance (SDAM) standards, and aligned with industry-leading Quality Engineering (QE) standards. You will drive the continuous improvement of our test governance framework, ensuring regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and the delivery of high-quality software across all business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all Quality Engineering (QE) activities adhere to SDAM standards and organizational controls.
  • Verify compliance across all release phases: planning, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for software testing processes and regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance audits and self-assessments in the QE space.
  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies for identified risks associated with software testing.
  • Lead the upliftment of the test governance framework based on strategic objectives.
  • Create and execute communication strategies to inform stakeholders of process changes.
  • Develop enterprise-level and release-specific test strategies and plans.
  • Facilitate governance forums and decision-making meetings with transparent reporting.
  • Support internal and external audit walkthroughs and facilitate remediation efforts.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on SDLC testing governance best practices.
  • Foster a culture of compliance and accountability across technology and business teams.
  • Define and track KPIs and compliance metrics for testing governance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software testing delivery, test governance, or quality engineering.
  • Deep knowledge of FFIEC guidelines and other regulatory frameworks relevant to banking.
  • Experience designing and implementing test governance frameworks in regulated environments.
  • Hands-on experience with QE tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO), CI/CD, and test automation.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/DevOps practices and software risk management.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $135,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Chicago, IL
