Role Overview

Source Infotech Inc. is seeking a Lead BI & Analytics Engineer to spearhead our Operations analytics division. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on owning the end-to-end delivery of Power BI dashboards, ensuring metric integrity, and maintaining the highest standards of analytics reliability. Unlike traditional greenfield roles, this position requires a professional who can inherit, stabilize, and significantly improve existing business-critical dashboards. You will step into a complex environment where live analytics are already in use and take full accountability for making them accurate, performant, and trusted by executive leadership.

Core Responsibilities

  • Own the entire analytics lifecycle for Operations reporting, from initial requirements discovery to final deployment and ongoing support.
  • Audit and validate inherited Power BI dashboards, identifying logic errors, data quality issues, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Design and implement robust data models and complex DAX logic to support sophisticated operational reporting.
  • Establish and enforce organizational standards for KPI definitions, visualization best practices, and data grain consistency.
  • Lead the migration and stabilization of legacy analytics, refactoring or rebuilding dashboards where necessary to meet production-grade standards.
  • Partner with upstream data engineering teams to shape and consume analytics-ready datasets from Azure-based platforms.
  • Manage Power BI environments, including workspace strategy, deployment pipelines, and Row-Level Security (RLS) governance.
  • Act as the primary analytics partner for Operations leadership, translating ambiguous business questions into actionable data solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of professional experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, or Data Visualization roles.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in Power BI development, including advanced DAX, data modeling, and workspace management.
  • Strong SQL skills with a proven ability to perform structured reconciliation between BI outputs and backend source systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in stabilizing and improving legacy or inherited analytics within a production environment.
  • Ability to operate autonomously in a messy, real-world data environment with multiple sources and imperfect data quality.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to set expectations and manage competing priorities.
  • Must be available to work during Mountain Standard Time (MST) business hours.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience acting as a technical or functional lead for a team of BI contributors.
  • Familiarity with Azure-based data platforms such as Databricks, ADLS, or Synapse.
  • Exposure to Sigma Computing or modern CI/CD concepts for BI deployment pipelines.
  • Background in supporting Operations or Finance departments within complex corporate environments.

Why Join Us?

This role is designed for a leader who thrives on ownership and the challenge of turning complex data into trusted insights. At Source Infotech Inc., we value technical excellence and the ability to drive maturity within our analytics ecosystem.
