Role Overview
Tek Inspirations LLC is seeking a highly experienced and SailPoint Certified Engineer for a critical, long-term engagement with a prestigious State of New York client. This senior-level position is based onsite in New York City and requires a professional with a deep technical background in Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) and Privileged Access Management (PAM). The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in securing the state’s digital infrastructure by designing and implementing scalable identity solutions that align with Zero Trust principles.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead the hands-on development, configuration, and maintenance of SailPoint IIQ, including the creation of complex workflows, access models, and automated certification processes.
- Design and implement robust Privileged Access Management (PAM) strategies using industry-leading tools such as CyberArk, BeyondTrust, and ManageEngine.
- Manage credential vaulting, rotation policies, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for privileged accounts to mitigate security risks.
- Collaborate with state agency stakeholders to translate business and security requirements into high-performance technical solutions.
- Onboard thousands of users into the IGA framework, ensuring seamless lifecycle automation and identity hygiene.
- Develop custom Java code to extend the functionality of SailPoint IIQ and integrate it with various enterprise systems.
- Utilize PowerShell and Python scripting to automate repetitive administrative tasks and enhance system interoperability.
- Work within an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings to ensure timely project delivery.
- Provide expert guidance on access controls, compliance mandates, and audit requirements to maintain a secure and compliant environment.
Technical Requirements
- Mandatory SailPoint Certification and extensive hands-on experience with SailPoint IIQ.
- Proven expertise in PAM implementation within large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong proficiency in Java coding for identity management customizations.
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
- Deep understanding of MFA, SSO, and Zero Trust security architectures.
- Familiarity with SOC operations and security monitoring tools is a significant plus.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical teams and non-technical executive leadership.
Project Environment and Impact
This role offers the opportunity to work on one of the largest public sector identity projects in the region. You will be responsible for ensuring that the State of New York’s digital assets are protected through modern identity governance. The project involves high-volume user management and complex integration scenarios that will challenge and expand your technical expertise. As a senior engineer, you will be expected to provide thought leadership and technical mentorship to junior team members while ensuring the highest standards of security and operational excellence.
Compliance and Screening
Due to the sensitive nature of the client and the data involved, candidates must be US Citizens or Green Card holders. The screening process is rigorous and requires the submission of a valid LinkedIn profile, a copy of your Visa/Work Authorization, and a copy of your Driver’s License. An onsite, face-to-face interview in NYC is a mandatory part of the selection process. Compensation & Location
Salary: $185,000 – $235,000 per year (Estimated)
