Role Overview: Senior AEM Developer
Prophecy Technologies is looking for a seasoned Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Developer with 8 to 10 years of professional experience to join our engineering team. This role is focused on designing, developing, and deploying robust digital experience solutions using the AEM platform. As a senior member of the team, you will leverage your deep technical knowledge of Java and AEM to build scalable web applications that drive user engagement and business growth. This position offers the flexibility of remote work while supporting our clients, particularly within the financial services sector.
Technical Stack and Core Responsibilities
- AEM Development: Provide expert-level development using AEM version 6.4 or above. You will be responsible for creating custom components, templates, and workflows, as well as managing OSGi bundles and JCR integrations.
- Java Backend Engineering: Utilize Java 8 or higher to develop high-performance backend services. You must demonstrate strong object-oriented design and development skills to ensure code maintainability and scalability.
- Front-End Integration: Work proficiently with modern web technologies including HTML5, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap. Experience with modern frameworks like Angular or React is essential for building interactive user interfaces.
- Database & Scripting: Manage relational databases such as Sybase or SQL Server. You should have strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL for data manipulation and optimization. Additionally, working knowledge of Unix/Bash scripting or Python is required for automation tasks.
- DevOps & Tooling: Integrate seamlessly into our CI/CD pipelines using Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Maven. You will use industry-standard IDEs like IntelliJ or Visual Studio Code to maintain high coding standards.
- Agile Methodology: Operate within an Agile/Scrum framework, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software increments.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with prior experience in the Financial Services domain will be given high priority, as understanding the specific regulatory and security requirements of this industry is a significant advantage. You should be a self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to mentor junior developers. Strong communication skills are vital for collaborating with stakeholders and translating business requirements into technical specifications.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $190,000 per year (Estimated)
