Role Overview
The Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) Implementation & Architecture Lead is a senior-level strategic position designed for a technologist who can bridge the gap between complex marketing vision and robust technical execution. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and deployment of Adobe Journey Optimizer across diverse business units and global markets.
- Translate high-level marketing objectives into technical journey logic, ensuring seamless segmentation and activation across all channels.
- Architect and maintain complex data schemas, identity stitching protocols, and real-time event models within the Adobe Experience Platform (AEP).
- Configure and optimize platform components including offer decisioning, business rules, automated triggers, and multi-step journeys.
- Collaborate deeply with Data Engineering teams to leverage Snowflake and other cloud data warehouses for high-performance activation and data ingestion.
- Establish rigorous data validation processes to ensure the integrity of customer attributes and behavioral event streams.
- Drive the evolution of customer journeys by implementing advanced personalization techniques and scalable workflows that adapt to user behavior.
- Act as a primary liaison between Email Operations, Marketing Operations, and technical development teams to ensure alignment.
- Ensure all implementations adhere to global privacy standards including GDPR and CCPA through robust consent management frameworks.
- Produce comprehensive documentation covering platform configurations, QA protocols, and use case mapping for internal stakeholders.
Technical Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in marketing technology, digital transformation, or enterprise software implementation.
- Proven hands-on expertise with Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) and the broader Adobe Experience Platform (AEP).
- Mandatory certifications: Adobe Certified Expert – AJO Architect, AEP Business Practitioner, and Adobe Target.
- Deep understanding of real-time personalization architectures and event-driven marketing strategies.
- Experience integrating cloud data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery with marketing activation layers.
- Proficiency in JSON payload structures, RESTful APIs, and front-end event instrumentation for tracking.
- Strong background in data modeling, SQL, and identity resolution strategies within a CDP environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical marketing stakeholders.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $175,000 – $225,000 per year (Estimated)
