Role Overview: WMS Functional QA Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated WMS Functional QA Analyst to join our dynamic team in Memphis, TN. This is a critical onsite role requiring a professional with deep domain expertise in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Supply Chain operations. As the logistics landscape evolves toward 2026, the complexity of distribution center technology requires a QA professional who can bridge the gap between technical validation and physical operational workflows. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of our supply chain software ecosystem, specifically focusing on Manhattan WMS and its integration with broader enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities and Strategic Impact

  • Comprehensive Requirement Analysis: Deep dive into business requirements to translate complex supply chain logic into actionable and detailed test scenarios.
  • End-to-End Workflow Validation: Rigorous testing of warehouse lifecycles, including receiving, putaway, inventory management, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Integration Testing: Ensuring seamless data flow between WMS, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and Order Management Systems (OMS).
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Utilizing Oracle SQL and application log analysis to identify root causes of defects and performance bottlenecks.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Acting as a liaison between Business Operations and Development teams to ensure software delivery aligns with real-world Distribution Center (DC) needs.
  • UAT and Release Management: Leading User Acceptance Testing support and managing defect triage during critical release cycles.

The Evolution of Supply Chain QA

In the modern logistics environment, a QA Analyst is more than just a tester; they are a guardian of operational efficiency. This role demands an understanding of how software decisions impact the physical movement of goods. You will be tasked with simulating high-volume scenarios that mimic peak season demands, ensuring that the WMS can handle the throughput required for global commerce. Your expertise in Manhattan WMS will be leveraged to optimize configuration testing and ensure that custom enhancements do not disrupt core functionality. Furthermore, your ability to perform backend validation using SQL ensures that data integrity is maintained across all database layers, preventing costly inventory discrepancies.

Technical Environment and Tools

The technical stack for this position is centered around industry-leading supply chain software. Candidates will work extensively with Manhattan WMS and Oracle databases. While the primary focus is functional testing, exposure to automation frameworks like Selenium with Java (Spring Boot) is highly valued as we move toward more continuous testing models. Understanding the integration points with Sterling OMS and Retail Merchandising Systems will provide a significant advantage in navigating our omnichannel environment. We prioritize candidates who can demonstrate a history of successful implementations in fast-paced, Agile-driven environments where precision and speed are paramount.

Professional Growth and Workplace Culture

Joining our team in Memphis—a global hub for logistics—offers unparalleled opportunities for professional development in the supply chain sector. We foster a culture of continuous learning and collaboration. You will work alongside industry veterans and innovative developers to solve some of the most challenging problems in modern distribution. This 6-month contract offers a competitive market rate and the chance to work on high-visibility projects that directly impact our global footprint. We value diversity of thought and encourage our QA professionals to bring proactive solutions to the table, driving quality from the start of the development lifecycle rather than just at the end.
