Position Summary and Leadership Scope
Quantum World Technologies Inc. is looking for a visionary Java Solution Architect with a deep specialization in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join our client’s team in Dallas, Texas. This is a hybrid contract position that demands a high level of technical leadership and the ability to bridge the gap between complex business requirements and robust technical solutions. As a Solution Architect, you will be the primary technical authority for large-scale enterprise applications, ensuring that all designs align with the long-term strategic goals of the organization. You will be expected to navigate complex organizational structures and influence technical direction across multiple workstreams. In the Dallas market, the demand for high-level architects who can navigate the AWS landscape is at an all-time high. This role is specifically designed for an individual who can take ownership of the entire solution lifecycle, from initial discovery and requirements gathering to final deployment and post-launch optimization.
Core Responsibilities and Technical Governance
- Lead the architecture and design of AWS-based Java applications, ensuring high availability, scalability, and resilience.
- Govern the implementation of solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and RESTful APIs across the development lifecycle.
- Drive high-level client-facing architecture discussions with confidence, clarity, and technical authority, representing the firm’s interests.
- Define and implement cloud-native patterns on AWS, focusing on security, cost optimization, and performance tuning.
- Provide architectural oversight for front-end integrations involving ReactJS and Angular frameworks to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Conduct rigorous design reviews and enforce coding standards to maintain alignment with TFS enterprise architecture and industry best practices.
- Support modernization efforts, including legacy system refactoring, cloud migration strategies, and API enablement.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Engineering Leads to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of complex software products.
- Identify technical risks early in the project lifecycle and propose pragmatic mitigation strategies and technical trade-offs.
- Mentor senior engineers to foster a culture of engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and technical maturity.
Required Qualifications and Professional Background
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in enterprise-grade software architecture, specifically within the Java ecosystem. You must have a proven ability to lead technical teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Deep expertise in the AWS ecosystem is non-negotiable, including services related to compute (EC2, Lambda), storage (S3, RDS), networking (VPC), and security (IAM). Furthermore, your background should include significant work with modern JavaScript frameworks to ensure seamless full-stack integration. Excellent communication skills are vital, as you will be representing the technical team in critical business meetings and architectural boards. You will be working with a variety of stakeholders, including executive leadership, to ensure that the technical roadmap supports the broader business objectives. Your ability to mentor junior and senior staff will be a key metric of success in this role.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $165,000 – $210,000 per year (Estimated)
