Position Summary
The New Jersey Judiciary (NJITO) is seeking a highly skilled Full-stack Drupal Developer to join the Application Tech Specialist team. This role is pivotal in creating pre-release test scripts and conducting comprehensive automated and manual testing for the State of New Jersey’s Drupal-based web infrastructure. We are looking for a true subject matter expert in Drupal 10 and 11 who can navigate the complexities of government-scale web applications while ensuring accessibility, security, and high performance. This position offers a hybrid work model in Mercer County, NJ, with the potential for fully remote work for the right candidate, operating on an EST schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sophisticated automated testing frameworks using Playwright and other modern testing tools.
- Build and maintain Drupal 10/11 sites, focusing on both front-end presentation and back-end logic.
- Write secure, clean code following Drupal coding standards and security guidelines to protect sensitive Judiciary data.
- Collaborate with cloud platform vendors and infrastructure teams to manage cloud-hosted environments and code repositories.
- Perform regular code updates and security patches to ensure website stability and compliance with state standards.
- Implement best practices for web accessibility (WCAG) to ensure inclusive digital experiences for all citizens.
- Participate in rigorous code quality checks, peer reviews, and deployment processes using GitHub and package management tools.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members on the efficient use of Drupal and PHP.
Technical Requirements
- Expert-level knowledge of Drupal 10/11 and PHP development.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, SASS, and Twig templating.
- Extensive experience with automated testing tools, specifically Playwright.
- Strong command of version control systems (GitHub) and modern deployment workflows.
- Demonstrated understanding of web accessibility standards and inclusive design.
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues in a cloud-hosted environment.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $130,000 – $175,000 per year (Estimated)
