Role Overview
Quantum World Technologies is seeking a visionary Enterprise AI Architect to join our client’s team in Torrance, California. This is a critical onsite contract role focused on designing and implementing cutting-edge AI solutions that drive significant business value. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the modern AI/ML landscape, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and complex agentic workflows. You will be responsible for the architectural integrity and scalability of AI systems that integrate seamlessly with enterprise-grade infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect multi-layered AI solutions that balance compute efficiency, contextual fidelity, and algorithmic adaptability across the enterprise.
- Develop and optimize advanced RAG pipelines using vector databases such as ChromaDB, Milvus, and FAISS, ensuring high retrieval accuracy.
- Integrate AI capabilities into existing enterprise systems via REST and GraphQL APIs, maintaining secure and scalable interoperability.
- Establish best practices for model selection and layering, combining neural models with symbolic reasoning and tool-based agents for optimal performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed AI agents into complex business workflows while adhering to strict governance and compliance standards.
- Implement robust data integrity measures using Pydantic, FastAPI, and JSON Schema for structured output validation and schema enforcement.
- Optimize AI workloads across cloud, hybrid, and edge environments, effectively managing latency and compute resource tradeoffs.
- Define observability baselines, telemetry tracing, and evaluation metrics to monitor AI performance, safety, and reliability in production.
- Lead the development of multi-agent coordination patterns, including ReAct agents and supervisor-based architectures for complex task execution.
- Stay abreast of emerging AI trends and technologies, providing strategic recommendations for the evolution of the enterprise AI roadmap.
Technical Requirements
- Expert-level proficiency in Python 3.10+, including asynchronous design, modular distributed architectures, and microservices.
- Extensive experience with the LangChain ecosystem, including LangGraph, prompt templates, and advanced agent orchestration patterns.
- Deep knowledge of AI/ML frameworks such as OpenAI API, HuggingFace Transformers, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
- Proven experience in fine-tuning models and optimizing inference for high-performance production environments.
- Strong background in data context management using SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, and complex feature engineering pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with vector databases, semantic search, and similarity search strategies.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, Docker, and Azure DevOps for containerized deployments.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $120 – $165 per year (Estimated)
