Role Overview
Global IT Family is seeking an experienced Functional QA Lead for an urgent onsite position in Boston, MA. This role requires a deep understanding of the Investment Banking and Capital Markets domains. The successful candidate will lead quality assurance efforts for complex, data-heavy enterprise applications, ensuring the integrity of data ingestion, validation, and downstream consumption. This position involves significant coordination with various stakeholders and requires a proven track record in test leadership and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead functional testing and automation initiatives for complex financial enterprise applications.
- Manage multiple workstreams and dependencies across integrated systems to ensure seamless delivery.
- Oversee data ingestion and validation processes, including downstream consumption in repositories and recordkeeping systems.
- Validate client-facing flows, entitlements, and performance calculations for reporting consistency.
- Manage QA for portfolio management workflows, lifecycle events, and compliance monitoring.
- Ensure rigorous testing of trading workflows, including order lifecycle, allocations, executions, and confirmations.
- Translate quality risks into clear business impact statements for executive stakeholders.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive UAT testing practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- 8-12+ years of total QA/testing experience with at least 3-6+ years in a leadership or management capacity.
- Excellent domain knowledge in Investment Banking and Capital Markets.
- Strong hands-on experience with functional testing and automation for data-intensive applications.
- Proficiency in test management tools such as Jira, Xray, or Zephyr.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
- Experience with compliance rules, monitoring, and exception handling within a financial context.
Technical Environment
- Domain: Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Trading Systems.
- Tools: Jira, Xray, Zephyr, SQL, Data Validation Tools.
- Methodology: Functional Testing, UAT, Automation, Agile.
This is a high-impact role requiring a candidate who can navigate the complexities of financial data and trading controls while leading a team toward high-quality software releases.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $135,000 – $175,000 per year (Estimated)
