Role Overview
The Oracle HCM Consultant will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation and production support of Oracle Cloud Compensation modules. This is a high-impact onsite role located in Columbia, South Carolina, requiring a deep understanding of Workforce and Incentive Compensation. In the evolving landscape of 2026, Oracle Cloud remains a cornerstone for enterprise resource planning, and this role is pivotal in ensuring that human capital management systems are optimized for performance, compliance, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure Oracle Fusion Compensation modules including Workforce Compensation, Incentive Compensation, Salary Basis, and Grade Ladders.
- Design and implement compensation cycles for merit, bonus, and stock plans, ensuring alignment with corporate financial goals.
- Integrate Compensation modules with Core HR, Payroll, and Absence Management systems to maintain data integrity across the HCM suite.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into functional design documents (FDs), configuration workbooks, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies, including Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Drive system enhancements and troubleshoot complex configuration issues to minimize downtime and improve user experience.
- Support quarterly Oracle Cloud release testing and assess the impact of new features on existing setups.
- Conduct workshops with HR and Finance teams to align system capabilities with business strategy and provide guidance on best practices.
- Create BI/OTBI reports and HCM Extracts for advanced compensation analysis and workforce planning.
Technical and Functional Expertise
The ideal candidate must possess a deep functional knowledge of Workforce Compensation and Incentive Compensation. Familiarity with related Oracle modules such as Payroll, Benefits, and Core HR is essential for successful cross-functional integration. As a consultant, you will be expected to provide insights for budgeting and workforce planning, leveraging OTBI to deliver actionable data to stakeholders. The role requires a proactive approach to system optimization, staying ahead of Oracle’s update cycles to ensure the client’s environment remains robust and efficient.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience specifically within Oracle Cloud Compensation.
- Proven track record of successful end-to-end implementations and production support in large-scale environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, capable of leading workshops and presenting to executive leadership.
- At least a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
Project Environment
This is a 12+ month contract opportunity requiring a full-time onsite presence in Columbia, SC. The project environment is fast-paced and requires a consultant who can work independently while also collaborating effectively with diverse teams. The focus is on delivering a high-quality, scalable compensation solution that meets the unique needs of the client’s workforce.

Onsite requirement in Columbia, SC; 12+ month contract duration.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
