Role Overview
The Informatica IICS Developer (SQL Expert) will be a key contributor to our enterprise data integration strategy. This role is designed for a technical specialist who excels in building robust, scalable, and efficient data pipelines using Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) while leveraging advanced SQL techniques to handle complex data transformations. As a hybrid role based in the Bay Area, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud-based data integration, data warehousing, performance tuning, and complex SQL transformations. This role will support enterprise-level analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives by delivering high-quality, efficient, and reliable data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop end-to-end data integration solutions using Informatica IICS Cloud Data Integration (CDI) and Cloud Data Quality (CDQ).
- Architect complex SQL queries and stored procedures to perform high-performance data processing and transformation within cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
- Optimize existing ETL/ELT processes to improve performance, reduce latency, and lower operational costs.
- Collaborate with Data Architects and Business Analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into technical designs.
- Implement data validation and cleansing rules to ensure the highest level of data integrity and quality.
- Manage the full lifecycle of data integration projects, from initial requirement gathering through deployment and production support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to data mappings, task flows, and database performance.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including data mapping documents, design specifications, and operational manuals.
- Stay abreast of new features and updates in the Informatica IICS ecosystem and recommend best practices for adoption.
- Participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Technical Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Informatica Developer with a strong focus on IICS (Cloud Data Integration).
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL, including advanced analytical functions, performance tuning, and query optimization.
- Deep understanding of Data Warehousing principles, including Star and Snowflake schemas, and Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD).
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs and integrating diverse data sources (SaaS, On-premise, NoSQL).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex data-related problems.
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting is a plus.

Furthermore, you will be involved in setting up robust CI/CD pipelines for data integration using tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps, ensuring that our data deployments are as seamless and error-free as possible. Compensation & Location
Salary: $155,000 – $210,000 per year (Estimated)
